About the Author…

Hi Barbie!

Welcome. Welcome to my weird house.

Doctor by day. Author by later time of the day. Dog mom 24/7. My name is Estella and for professional purposes I have a pen name that changes my last name, but I’m still the same gal. Some things I love are telling stories, making up songs to sing to my dogs, cooking, baking, and laughing.

I am relatively new to writing. I can’t say I’ve always known I wanted to be an author. Even though you couldn’t pry any book out of my hands, drag me out of the library, or stop me from begging to go to the bookstore, my passions were (and still are) more science based- like being excited for my first microscope. However, I’m well-known for my wild imagination, and writing has always come very easily tome.

My writing is not based on anyone’s life, but I do draw many influences from my own and the never ending interactions I’ve experienced. My stories are shaped by the rhythms of my own life. The deep connection I have to cycles, shadows, moonlit symbolism as well as my own inner alchemy. I am a nocturnal creature, so sleep takes its time to find to me. The hours I do spend sleeping are mostly laced with vivid dreams which heavily influences my writing.

Fun Facts…

I have 3 French Bulldogs, 1 Labrador mix, 2 fish and listen to Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Arianna Grande on repeat. When writing Always Mine, I listened to Short n’ Sweet album 24/7. My favorite trip was with my best friend Ver to France to see Taylor’s Era tour. A member of the procrastination nation. Favorite shows I watch annually are Schitt’s Creek, Parks & Recreation and Brooklyn 99. I love sweet potatoes, various squash and blueberries. My hair has been blue since 2023 and in the process of tattooing my body (3/4 an arm done) Constantly quoting movies and being sarcastic for both fun and serious.

Special shoutout to…

My book cover artist for Devil’s Shadow series! Highly recommend their work. Easy to work with, get ahold of and just all around wonderful and understanding.

As an indie author, I know it’s overwhelming to have to go out and find the team you want to work with, but if you see her portfolio of work you won’t be disappointed!

Personal Faves

I would also like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, my friends who support and help me when I need them. Endless gratitude and love for them. They are always there for me in my personal and author life offering advice or helping me with business/ design advice (guys, I’m really only good at writing.) Because being an author is a lot more than you think than just writing. I couldn’t do this alone. So forever thank you to my loves.
